First-time RV buyers in 2022 continued the trend of being younger and more diverse buyers are entering the RV lifestyle. While the love of road trips, wanting to use an RV as an basecamp for other outdoor recreation, and traveling in comfort continue to be top reasons for purchasing an RV, for the first time, wanting a place to stay while working was the most selected reason for making an RV purchase.
Additionally, the ease and affordability of RVing were the most important motivations for RV travel with 32% of buyers citing avoiding common travel hassles and 30% citing the ability to save money on travel costs.
