Blessed by seven positive factors, photovoltaic industry ushered in the golden period of development!

By the end of 2020, China has promised that the accumulative capacity of photovoltaic and wind power would reach more than 1.2 billion kilowatts by 2030, and planned the development blueprint of photovoltaic and wind power industry in the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" and "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan". It can be predicted that the next few decades will be the golden period for the development of new energy such as photovoltaic power generation and wind power generation. Among them, photovoltaic power generation, with the support of relevant central and local policies, ushered in seven good news and is expected to usher in explosive development from 2021.

PV will continue to enjoy state subsidies in 2021

According to PV experts, household PV installation is likely to be subsidized by 0.02 to 0.03 yuan per kilowatt-hour in 2021. It is clear that in 2021, photovoltaic users will still receive subsidies totaling about 200 to 300 million yuan. If there are still 2-3 cents/kWh subsidies in 2021, then the household market size will reach at least 10GW in 2021. With the decrease of the construction cost of photovoltaic power stations, the investment value of photovoltaic power stations will also be highlighted for households in areas with weak lighting conditions.

Local governments still provide policy subsidies to support photovoltaic power generation

In addition to state subsidies, Beijing, Shanghai, Xi 'an, Guangzhou and many other districts issued local subsidy policies, in which Shanghai made it clear that in 2019 photovoltaic power station incentive standard is 0.3 yuan/kWh, distributed photovoltaic (including household photovoltaic) incentive standard is 0.15 yuan/kWh (school photovoltaic is 0.36 yuan/kWh); Beijing proposes that municipal finance give subsidies according to the actual power generation of the project, and the subsidy period of each project is 5 years. According to the regulations of Guangzhou Municipality, investors of distributed photovoltaic power generation will be subsidized according to the power generation. The subsidy standard is 0.15 yuan/kWh [the applicant (roof side) is non-public institution] and 0.3 yuan/kWh [the applicant (roof side) is public institution]. These policies will inject new growth momentum into the photovoltaic industry.

The domestic epidemic is under control and the market is recovering rapidly

After the Spring Festival holiday, China officially announced that all high-risk areas for epidemic prevention and control have been cleared to zero. Unlike last year, this year the PV industry can be fully resumed in the first quarter. In the future, with the promotion of vaccines, the global epidemic will gradually subside, and the photovoltaic industry will be less likely to be affected by such factors.

Photovoltaic industry is expected to usher in a new wave of expansion

In 2021, the photovoltaic industry is expected to usher in a new wave of expansion, and import substitution will be carry on. With the substantial expansion of silicon wafer production capacity, subsequent wafer supply and demand gradually easing, the cost will continue to fall. With the issuance of the policy that photovoltaic glass is not restricted by the replacement of production capacity, the cost of photovoltaic modules has been reduced. PV product update towards the direction of intelligent and efficient, the cost-effective improvement is obvious.

Green buildings are promoted in the 14th Five-Year Plan of many provinces

According to statistics, there are 16 provinces advocating "green building" in their 14th Five-Year Plan documents. The application of photovoltaic in architecture, both in ways and scenarios, has been very mature, and has withstood the test of the market. It has also become the best solution of "green building" recognized both inside and outside the industry. With the support of local policies, the photovoltaic plus green building model is expected to be greatly promoted.

Photovoltaic has been written into the work report of the two sessions of the government in many regions

In the disclosed work reports of local governments in 2021, PV has been included in the top action programs of Liaoning, Shanxi, Xizang, Guangdong, Anhui, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Jilin and other provinces and municipalities, and is listed as one of the key work contents in 2021.

The National Energy Administration continued to issue favorable policies
  • The National Energy Administration issued the Notice of the National Energy Administration on Improving Renewable Energy Heating Work according to Local Conditions, which clearly continued to promote solar and wind power heating work.
  • The National Energy Administration issued the Letter on Soliciting Suggestions on the Weight of Renewable Energy Electricity Consumption Responsibility in 2021 and the Expected Targets for 2022-2030 to ensure the realization of the 2030 target for the proportion of non-fossil energy in primary energy consumption. Under the 26% proportion, wind and photovoltaic capacity is projected to be around 3.1 trillion kilowatt-hours by 2030. Based on this, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic will exceed 1.6 billion kilowatts.

A new solar policy in 2021 has been put on the agenda. The industry is expected that although the scale of parity projects will be further expanded this year, the PV industry will still enjoy certain subsidies, which is a major positive factor for the household market. In the "30•60" carbon peak target, this year's installation will also be very considerable, the photovoltaic industry has broad prospects for development.
